IT Support Engineer
Location: East Sussex
Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Connect Group Recruitment have partnered with a leading IT Support Business and we are looking for a motivated and adaptable Onsite IT Support Engineer to join their dynamic team. You will be responsible for providing IT support for one of their customers across three local sites.
Responsibilities
•Provide Advanced Desk-Side IT Support: Deliver top-tier IT support services for a large customer base
•Diagnose and Resolve IT Issues: Assist staff and students with IT issues both in person and remotely.
•Maintain IT Systems: Update and maintain hardware, software, and network systems as required.
•End-User Support: Offer support for various IT applications.
•IT Projects and New Technologies: Contribute to IT projects and implement new technologies as needed.
•On-Demand Support: Provide support across various site locations as required.
Requirements
•Experience: Minimum of 2 years of IT Support experience
•IT Fundamentals: Solid understanding of hardware, software, networking, and server technologies.
•Technical Skills: Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows Server (including File and Print Services, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, etc.), Windows 10/11, and PC hardware repairs.
•Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
•Team-Oriented: A proactive and team-oriented approach.
•Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
•Driving License: Full, clean UK driving license and own vehicle
Desirable
•Educational Environment: Previous experience working in an educational environment.
•Cisco Meraki: Experience supporting Cisco Meraki LAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
•Certifications: Relevant IT certifications (Microsoft 365/Azure fundamentals, CompTIA, etc.).
