CNC Team Lead - The Role
This is a leadership-first position focused on managing people, performance, and production output - not operating machinery.
You will lead a team of approximately 25 employees across milling, turning, and assembly functions, ensuring production schedules are met, standards remain high, and issues are escalated proactively.
CNC Team Lead - Key Responsibilities
Lead daily shift briefings and communicate production plans
Ensure work runs to schedule and escalate issues early
Manage holidays, attendance, and performance conversations
Support disciplinary processes when required
Monitor output and interpret KPIs
Use ERP systems (full training provided)
Drive productivity, pace, and accountability on the shop floor
Maintain high standards of safety and quality
CNC Team Lead - Essential:
Experience managing a sizeable team (20+ people) within production or manufacturing
Confidence leading performance discussions and holding teams accountable
Strong communication and decision-making skills
IT literate and comfortable using ERP systems and Excel
Hands-on leadership style suited to a direct shop-floor environment
