Network Support Engineer
Salary: Up to £45k (Depending on experience) plus an excellent benefits package including Private

Due to expansion, we are on the lookout for a Network Support Engineer to be based onsitefor one
of their biggest customers.
As a Network Support Engineer,youare responsible for supporting and maintaining clients’ network
and security systems and for providing support to business users.
The role is responsible for resolving any network-related faults quickly and efficiently in line with
agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), which include a broad range of queries.
Experience required for Network Engineer
∙Strong networking background with “hands-on” experience of, in particular Extreme
Networks with an excellent conceptual understanding of the broadest networking subjects
∙A security understanding with “hands on” experience of security projects together with
excellent conceptual understanding of IT security, including firewalling, and application
security, in particular, Palo Alto is advantageous.
∙Understanding of TCP/IP design and configuration, including BGP, OSPF, QoS and Multicast
will be advantageous.
∙Wireless networking experience would be advantageous in particular Extreme Networks.
∙Understanding the relationship of Server environments, including Active Directory, Unix /
Linux or VMWare, SAN and Backup within a complex network environment.
∙Skilled in resilient, high-speed LAN and WAN implementation to specification.
∙An understanding of network virtualisation
