ERP / WMS Operations Systems Specialist

Location: UK (multi-site operations)

Full-time | Monday–Friday (40 hours)

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

Connect Group is working with a growing, forward-thinking organisation that’s embarking on a major business transformation project. We’re looking for an ERP / WMS Operations Systems Specialist to play a pivotal role in the initial implementation and long-term ownership of their operations systems across multiple sites.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, translating real-world warehouse processes into effective system solutions.

The Role

You’ll lead the definition of operational system requirements, support configuration and testing during implementation, and take ownership of system administration post go-live. Acting as the key link between Operations and IT, you’ll ensure systems truly support how the business runs on the ground.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading operational requirements gathering and translating them into clear system specifications

* Configuring and maintaining ERP/WMS settings, including:

* Warehouse rules and processes

* Labelling and printing setups

* Handheld scanning device integration

* Supporting system setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance

* Conducting functional testing and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT)

* Providing ongoing system support and troubleshooting for operational teams

* Working closely with warehouse teams to understand workflows and ensure system alignment

* Acting as the primary liaison between Operations and IT for system-related topics

What We’re Looking For

* Experience in IT support within a warehouse / distribution environment or ERP/WMS consultancy

* Strong understanding of warehouse operations and end-to-end workflows

* Hands-on experience with ERP/WMS platforms (e.g. Acumatica, Snap Fulfil or similar)

* Knowledge of labelling, printing systems and handheld scanning devices

* Ability to configure system rules and workflows

* Confident problem-solver who’s comfortable getting hands-on in the operation

* Strong communication skills, able to bridge technical and non-technical teams

Desirable (but not essential):

* Experience with system integrations (OData, APIs)

* Knowledge of SQL or similar for reporting and troubleshooting

* Previous involvement in ERP/WMS implementation projects

Why Apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business at a critical transformation stage, where your input will genuinely shape how operations run day to day. You’ll have real ownership, influence, and visibility across the wider group.
