Job Title: Software Sales Manager (Fintech, Hedge Funds, E-investments)

Location: Chicago, USA

Office located in Chicago (Hybrid role)

Salary:Fixed salary of $125,000 and 15% sales commission plus benefits: 70% healthcare coverage

Our client, an award-winning financial software company, has offices in London, and Chicago. They specialise in providing software solutions for companies investing in long-only funds, private equity funds, and hedge funds.

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Sales Manager to lead their USA sales operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software sales to large institutions investing in funds, strong sales management skills, and a passion for success in a thriving fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities:

·Engage with major decision-makers including state pension funds, private banks, sovereign wealth funds, asset advisors, multi-fund managers, fund of hedge funds, and family offices within the USA and Canada.

·Achieve annual sales targets as agreed with the CEO.

·Manage a sales team consisting of a cold caller and a sales person in Chicago, and the Head of European Sales in London. Create and enforce OKRs, motivate the team, and enhance the sales strategy.

·Lead and refine the USA and European sales strategies in collaboration with the marketing team in London.

·Oversee the entire sales process: conduct web meetings, manage software trials, collaborate with the client support team, explain software installations and investment processes, and handle contract negotiations.

Skills and Experience:

·The London-based product specialist will assist with software demonstrations.

·Extensive experience in software sales to family offices, pension funds, and institutions investing in funds.

·Strong understanding of finance and enterprise solutions, including Sharpe ratio, VaR, portfolio optimization, private equity funds, portfolio management, and portfolio returns attribution.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, or a related field with a numerical focus.

·Successful track record in sales with at least 4 years of experience.

Experience managing a sales team while actively selling.

·Proven sales achievements, having sold over $250,000 in new solutions in 2023.

·Professional, entrepreneurial, and team-oriented mindset.
