Job Title: Senior Developer

Job Overview: An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Developer to join a forward-thinking team based in Kemble, Gloucestershire. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, analyse, and implement innovative software solutions.

  • Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code using C# and the .NET framework.

  • Participate in code reviews to uphold best practices and maintain coding standards.

  • Debug and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal software performance and reliability.

  • Work with team members to create and maintain comprehensive documentation.

  • Stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends in software development.

  • Contribute to projects that promote the continuous evolution and enhancement of software offerings.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in software development, specifically with C# and the .NET framework.

  • At least 2 years’ experience with JavaScript and frameworks such as Angular or React.

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

  • Experience with ASP.NET, MVC, and Web API.

  • Proficiency in database management, particularly with SQL Server or similar relational databases.

  • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably GIT, and workflow management tools like JIRA.

  • Knowledge of the deployment process and pipeline production.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with agile development methodologies.

  • Understanding of SOLID principles and their application in software design.

  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.

  • Knowledge of fleet administration or similar fields would be advantageous.

  • Experience with Flutter and Dart is a plus.

  • Previous management or mentoring experience is desirable.

General Accountabilities:

  • Conduct interactions with customers, suppliers, and colleagues in a professional and ethical manner.

  • Keep management informed about workload and project progress.

  • Actively contribute to improvement initiatives.

  • Adhere to company values, service standards, policies, and relevant legislation.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £55,000 per annum.

  • Standard working hours are 37.5 per week, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.

  • Annual leave entitlement of 25 days, increasing to 28 days with service.
