IT Manager
Location: Fort Worth/Arlington, TX area (hybrid)
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000
We have partnered with a leading financial services company providing tax credit solutions and are looking for a highly skilled IT Manager to oversee and actively participate in daily IT operations while leading a small team of IT professionals. This position combines hands-on technical administration with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the stability, security, and compliance of our Microsoft-first environment.
Responsibilities
This role is approximately 70% individual contributor work and 30% people leadership.
Individual Contributor Responsibilities
Manage hybrid identity (AD DS + Entra Connect) and administer Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, and SSO for applications like Salesforce, NetSuite, and Dynamics.
Administer NinjaOne for patching, remote support, and software deployment. You will also operate SentinelOne for policy tuning and threat hunting.
Configure and manage Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive, and Teams.
Manage Fortinet firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi, handling VPNs, VLANs, and firmware maintenance.
Maintain Windows Server and AD DS, including GPO hygiene, file/print services, and backups.
Manage service desk queues, problem and change management, and maintain the internal knowledge base.
Use PowerShell or Python to automate tasks and reduce manual work. You'll also coordinate IT projects, set timelines, and ensure deliverables are met.
Lead a team of 2-3 IT professionals, conducting standups, 1:1s, and performance reviews.
Enforce standard operating procedures, change control, and maintenance windows.
Collaborate with Security/Compliance and other teams on SOC 2 evidence and control operations.
Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new IT staff and vendors.
Qualifications
6-10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in a team lead or manager role with direct reports.
Expert administration of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
Hands-on experience with NinjaOne and SentinelOne administration.
Solid background in Windows Server/AD DS and hybrid identity.
Strong PowerShell skills for automation.
Demonstrated experience with ITSM practices and clear incident leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SharePoint governance, Teams lifecycle management, and email security.
Familiarity with SOC 2 Type II, including control ownership and evidence collection.
Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation, Microsoft (SC-300, MD-102), Fortinet NSE, or Security+ are a plus, but not required.
