Computer Vision Engineer (Fintech Start-up)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated computer vision engineer to join their dynamic fintech start-up team. As a computer vision engineer. You will play a critical role in developing cutting edge visual recognition solutions that enhance and optimize their financial tech products. You will work collaboratively with their cross functional team to implement innovative computer vision algorithms and technologies that drive customer-centric solutions and contribute to the growth of their platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement computer vision algorithms and models for applications in the fintech domain, such as document recognition, fraud detection, identity verification, and more.

  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that leverage computer vision techniques.

  • Utilize deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) to build and train convolutional neural networks (CNNs), recurrent neural networks (RNNs), and other relevant architectures.

  • Collect, preprocess, and augment image and video data to build robust and accurate computer vision models.

  • Evaluate and fine-tune model performance, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and real-time capabilities.

  • Research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision and AI technologies, and assess their potential applications within the fintech industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on computer vision and machine learning.

  • Proven experience (X+ years) in developing and deploying computer vision models in real-world applications, preferably within fintech or related industries.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and familiarity with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, scikit-learn).

  • Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar, along with a solid understanding of neural network architectures.

  • Strong understanding of image and video processing techniques, feature extraction, object detection, segmentation, and tracking.

Preferred:

  • Experience with financial industry regulations and security practices related to image and data privacy.

  • Contributions to open-source computer vision projects or relevant publications.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
