Location: Manchester

Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days WFH/2 days Office)

Salary: Up to £50k DOE

Connect IT has partnered with an International Software Solutions company and we are looking for an experienced 3rdLine IT Support Engineer to help build and support the UK Development Team.

Responsibilities

·Deliver IT support to clients and internal stakeholders.

·Diagnose and troubleshoot escalated queries from the client support team.

·Collaborate with development and testing teams to identify and address potential bugs.

·Act as an intermediary between client support and development teams, proposing enhancements, streamlining processes, and automating manual tasks when feasible.

·Ensure the Application Support team is equipped with the necessary knowledge and documentation to assist with internal and external applications.

·Provide comprehensive support for all platforms to both internal and external clients.

·Follow ITIL standards for incident management.

·Manage the creation of new user accounts and facilitate user onboarding.

·Perform software installation and configuration for users.

·Address and resolve password-related issues.

Requirements

·Proficient in English and Mandarin/Cantonese language skills

·Proficient in reading and comprehending scripts: Python, Linux Shell, MySQL.

·Enthusiastic in promptly diagnosing technical issues in person, over the telephone, and via the ticketing system.

·Well-versed in Kubernetes (K8s).

·Self-driven, proactive, and demonstrates initiative with strong problem-solving capabilities.

·Possesses excellent communication skills.

·Experienced as a 3rd Line Support engineer or in a similar role.

·Skilled in supporting networking devices/functions, including DHCP, Wi-Fi, routers, and broadband.

Desirables

·Experience with Cloud support, particularly AWS or Azure

·Experience supporting Windows 10, JIRA and common desktop software including

·Microsoft Office

·Understanding of Cloud administration, Confluence, Windows Desktop, TCP/IP, DNS, and

·Internet domains experience

·Broad Understanding of PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL Database experience
