2nd Line IT Support Engineer

Connect IT Recruitment has partnered with an established telecommunications company and we are looking to help them find their next 2nd Line Engineer to join their experienced and dynamic infrastructure Team.

Solid communication, flexibility and technical ability are all a must-have. This is a huge opportunity to join one of the best tech teams in London and across the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Timely completion of scheduled tickets while accurately recording time spent on each ticket.

  • Ensuring adherence to the parameters and directives outlined in ISO 27001 standard for all tasks.

  • Delivering technical assistance throughout a customer's onboarding journey.

  • Making necessary visits to customer sites when needed.

  • Maintaining regular communication with customers regarding the status of their open tickets.

  • Promptly addressing and escalating service or project issues that exceed agreed-upon service levels.

  • Informing customers in advance of any upcoming changes or agreed-upon outages.

  • Updating customer documentation using our CRM system.

  • Offering assistance to end users, both within the organization and to customers over the phone and on-site.

Required:

  • Over two years of experience as an IT Engineer in an MSP environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft client operating systems and applications, including Windows client and MS Office.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 cloud services, encompassing Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft server products, such as Microsoft Server, Hyper-V, and SQL Server.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting networks, including routers, firewalls, switches, and WAN connectivity.

  • Familiarity with Cisco, Ubiquity, and SonicWALL firewalls would be advantageous.

  • Experience with virtualization technologies is highly beneficial.

  • Possession of associate or professional certifications (Microsoft, Cisco) is desirable.
