QA Engineer (Manual testing)
100% Remote – Anywhere in the UK
£250–£300 per day (Outside IR35)
Contract duration: 6 months contract with the view to be extended.
We're looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join a growing engineering team on an exciting transformation programme. This is an opportunity to play a key role in building a quality-first engineering culture, working on modern SaaS products and helping deliver reliable, scalable software through robust testing and automation.
This is a100% remote contract, open to candidates based anywhere in the UK.
What you'll be doing
Driving quality across products and features from planning through to release.
Designing, developing and executing comprehensive test strategies.
Building and maintaining automated test frameworks for web applications and APIs.
Performing functional, regression, performance, stress and accessibility testing.
Working closely with developers to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Identifying risks early and ensuring high-quality software is delivered at pace.
Supporting the evolution of QA processes, standards and best practices.
Measuring quality through meaningful metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong commercial experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Engineering.
Experience testing modern web applications and REST APIs.
Hands-on experience with test planning, test design, execution and automation.
Experience with performance, stress and regression testing.
Knowledge of industry-standard test automation frameworks and tools.
Experience with both black-box and white-box testing.
Understanding of accessibility testing and security testing practices.
Experience using
Azure DevOps, including Test Plans.
Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
